How do I know if my bottle is affected?

If you bought one of the above Flogas cylinders between the 6th and 20th November from either Flogas or a Flogas dealer or retailer within the South East geographic region below, then stop using the bottle immediately and contact us.

If you’re unsure, or you haven’t been contacted, give us a ring at 0330 041 6629—we’ll be more than happy to help you. If there’s any doubt, then we will swap your bottle.

What should I do if I’ve already started using the bottle?

Stop using the heater and disconnect the bottle straight away. Safety is our top priority, so here’s what to do:

1. Turn off your heater and follow the steps below to safely disconnect the bottle.

2. Call us at 0330 041 6629, and we’ll arrange for a replacement as quickly as possible.

If you rely on your portable heater as your only heat source, let us know when you call, and we’ll prioritise your replacement.

How do I disconnect the gas bottle from my portable heater?

You’ll need to disconnect the regulator from your yellow butane bottle to safely stop using it. The regulator is the blue device connected to the bottle by a hose that controls the gas flow.

Follow these steps to disconnect the bottle safely:

1. Open the back door of your heater.

2. Turn the heater’s control knob to the start position.

3. Locate the regulator at the back of the heater.

4. Turn the regulator switch to the off position.

5. Wait for the heater to turn off completely.

6. Press the button on the regulator.

7. Lift the regulator off the gas bottle.

8. Replace the safety cap on the bottle valve.
